Jeffrey Schlupp

Team news

Crystal Palace midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp sustained an ankle injury against Manchester City last week and will miss the rest of the season. Cheikhou Kouyate or Max Meyer will likely replace him in the line-up. Schlupp joins Mamadou Sakho (knee) and James Tomkins (groin) on the injured list.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey suffered a hamstring injury against Napoli on Thursday and won't play. Granit Xhaka (hip) and Denis Suarez (groin) will be assessed, while Sokratis is serving the second of a two-match ban. Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding (both knee) plus Danny Welbeck (ankle) are out.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"I commend [Unai Emery] because he took on a very difficult job, to take over after someone like Arsene Wenger, who had been such an incredible figure and achieved such fantastic things at the club, for such a long period of time.

"Therefore, whoever comes in and steps into those shoes is filling enormous shoes and it is never going to be easy for him.

"I think he must be very, very pleased with the way things have gone there for him, he has been able to step into those shoes, he has been able to mould a team, play the football that I guess he wants his team to play and it has been very successful football."

Unai Emery

"[Palace] were playing with a big performance last year, but this season they started with more doubt in their performances. But they have very big players, a very experienced coach and they are taking good results away from home.

"They won against Manchester City, so on Sunday we have a lot of respect to them, to their players and to their coach. We want to impose - in our stadium - our spirit and personality and our ideas, our gameplan and the first idea against them, to beat them, is respect."
