Anfield, Saturday 3.00pm
Palace keeper Julian Speroni is set to make his first appearance in between the posts since December 2017 due to the absence of Vicente Guaita and Wayne Hennessey.
Guaita (calf) and Wayne Hennessey (thigh) suffered injuries sustained against Watford last weekend.
Striker Christian Benteke came off the bench against the Hornets to play for the first time since September and will probably be a sub again.
Left-back Pape Souare is still out with a dislocated shoulder sustained against Grimsby Town in the FA Cup.
Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold and midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum could both appear despite going down with knee injuries at the weekend. Attacking midfielder Adam Lallana and defender Joel Matip are set for returns to the squad.
Roy Hodgson
"I can remember a couple of games at Liverpool when I've gone with other teams and done OK, but I couldn't give you my exact record as a visiting manager at Liverpool as I'm not aware what that is.
"But I've got to say my record as a visiting manager with various clubs never seems to have any real affect upon me in the present day. This is the current Liverpool team playing the current Crystal Palace team, injuries to both teams which will affect them to some extent, and of course form of both teams which will affect to some extent.
"So each game is a new game, I think those statistics are nothing more than filling up newspapers or air time and giving people something to talk about, but I don't get any feeling that because my last game at Liverpool was a successful one that this will be like that, we'll need to play for it."
Jurgen Klopp
"Crystal Palace are really strong. I have said it a couple of times, but I don’t know a lot of teams in Europe who have a front line with the quality of players like Townsend, Zaha, Benteke, Ayew or whoever else plays. It is really, really high quality.
"We can talk about the defence, with one of the most exciting right full-backs in England on the one side [Wan-Bissaka], a very experienced Dutch guy on the left side [Van Aanholt] and Sakho and Tomkins [in the middle]. Midfield, Milivojevic, Kouyate, McArthur, Meyer, whoever – it is a proper team.
"That’s what we have to know and respect. It is not important how we played them last year or two years ago.
"We won there [earlier in the season] and it was a difficult game. We know that and that’s what we prepare for. It is not important how we were last week, a year ago, half a year ago, a month ago – it is only important how we will be tomorrow. That’s all I am interested in and it will be really tough."
