Team news

Palace are boosted with news that Wilfried Zaha, Mamadou Sakho and James Tomkins all all passed fit to play against United.

Zaha had to sit out Palace's last game against Tottenham with a hamstring strain, while James Tomkins had to be substituted midway through the second half. Sakho suffered a muscular injury while playing for France but all three are now OK.

Striker Connor Wickham (thigh) and centre half Scott Dann (knee), plus front man Christian Benteke (knee) are all still on the sidelines.

United midfielder Paul Pogba is available after recovering from a muscle problem, while Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Marouane Fellaini are also fit. Defender Luke Shaw is banned after clocking up five bookings.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"We are playing against a very good team with top quality players, they're not just internationals. They're strengthened by some of the players who have been out injured.

"It’s Old Trafford which is a difficult place to get results. At the moment Manchester United are getting results, playing well and have an experienced manager who will be determined to get the maximum home points that he can get against us tomorrow, so I don't see anything that will make our task any easier than it always is when you go there.

"I've been there with lots of teams and I've got to say it's not been very often that I've been able to come away happy with what the points tally."

Jose Mourinho

"I know it’s a big gap but I also know until the end of December if I’m not wrong we have eight Premier League matches to play, and eight Premier League matches we are speaking about 24 points, 24 points for us to fight for the other ones in the top four to fight too but I believe we are going to be there.

"Of course we need points, of course we need points, results. We need performances because we also like good performances in the top of points and good results so is up to us. We were playing well and getting good results until the one of the last period, of course we lost the last match but I don’t consider at all a bad performance."
