Roy Hodgson

Team news

Palace boss Roy Hodgson has three more players added to an already lengthy injury list with Wilfried Zaha and Julian Speroni (both knee) joining Martin Kelly on the sidelines. Zaha is set to miss around a month of football which is a huge blow for the Eagles.

New striker Alexander Sorloth could get an opportunity to play in attack. But Jeffrey Schlupp (knee) and Ruben Loftus-Cheek (ankle), plus Connor Wickham (knee) are still out of action. Scott Dann and Jason Puncheon (both knee) plus Bakary Sako (ankle) won't play again this season.

Everton left-back Leighton Baines is absent for this fixture due to a calf injury, along with goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg (groin) and defender Ramiro Funes Mori (knee).

Everton (from): Pickford, Coleman, Jagielka, Mangala, Martina, Gueye, Walcott, Rooney, Davies, Sigurdsson, Niasse, Robles, Kenny, Keane, Williams, Holgate, Schneiderlin, Bolasie, Calvert-Lewin, Tosun.

Palace (from): Hennessey, Henry, Van Aanholt, Tomkins, Delaney, Fosu-Mensah, Milivojevic, Townsend, McArthur, Rakip, Benteke, Sorloth, Ward, Sakho, Souare, Riedewald, Cabaye, Lee.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"I don't remember a relegation battle like this one. Normally there's a clearer middle group in the league, but today there doesn't seem to be a real middle group.

"It doesn't take many points to get into the middle - 30 points at the moment, which is something that gives us all hope, I suppose."

Sam Allardyce

"We have to be concerned about Palace's strengths but Zaha not playing could be an advantage.

"That being said, we will have to be at our best to beat Crystal Palace. They're very resilient, so hats off to Roy and his players.

"We need to focus on our own form. We've only lost one [at home] since I got here. Our home form is very good."
