Selhurst Park, Saturday 3.00pm
A new season under a new manager is almost underway.
Frank de Boer will be putting his 3-4-3 formation under the spotlight when his team steps out at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
His signings during the summer have been brought in with the new system in mind, and only time will tell as to whether he's able to turn Palace into a more possession based team.
There's a healthy competition for places in midfield, but the Eagles have limited options in attack, with Connor Wickham still out.
De Boer knows he needs to strengthen in the offensive positions, as well as purchasing another goalkeeper, now that Steve Mandanda has left the club.
He has 3 more weeks and counting...
Jairo Riedewald should make his Premier League debut in a back 3 which could also feature new signing Timothy Fosu-Mensah.
Yohan Cabaye, James McArthur, and Pape Souare have been training since recovering from injury, but the game comes too soon for them to feature.
Bakary Sako is out injured, and long term casualty Connor Wickham won't be fit until the new year.
Huddersfield's new signings Steve Mounie and former Eagle Tom Ince are among nine summer recruits hoping to play.
Jonathan Hogg and Nahki Wells are out with ankle problems, but captain Tommy Smith should be fit after suffering with a foot injury.
Roy Hodgson
"[I'm not here] to prove people wrong.
"I knew with Inter that it was quite a hard job but when a chance comes with a major club in the world I'm going to try, even though I knew it would be very difficult.
"They didn't give me enough time so I have to respect that but I'm still confident in my quality."
David Wagner
"We said this last season very often, over a long, long time, it's unrealistic for Huddersfield Town to be in the Premier League,"
"And then we said, 'This is not possible'. In football everything is possible. I think we've shown that even the impossible is possible in football.
"Now we have another task in front of us. A difficult task, of course. We are aware but it doesn't change that we are ambitious.
"We are in this league because we are ambitious, even if we know the task is a difficult one."
"For me personally, I was more nervous when I arrived in England rather than now starting in the Premier League.
"From the players' point of view, yes. It's more that I am interested in how they will react.
"We are totally inexperienced. Does it mean something in terms of the performance on Saturday? No. Did we have experience of the play-offs? No. But we did well. Did we have experience in terms of playing at the top of the (Championship) table? No. But we did it will.
"I am very happy to see on Saturday how they will react. With excitement, you usually are able to over-perform and hopefully we can see this on Saturday."
