Roy Hodgson
“I am a bit frustrated because I have so many key first-team players missing. That is an area we need to put right. My medical team tell me by the time we play West Ham they will be back, and that will be much better news for us.
“But we are still strong this weekend, though. We are fortunate that the starting XI who are on the sheet most weeks are still there, which is good.
“They are just organised, it’s a requirement under Tony. It is hard to get through them and they have good, knowledgeable players with good experience. When you look at his record; 14 clean sheets in 2015, he’s pretty good at it. We have to find a way.
“Last season they deservedly won at our place, they stopped us and got two set-play goals. I hope we have learned from that and get ourselves a victory for our fans.
“We have had a really tough start, so the points’ total is very good. But now we have to build on that and we hope to do that. We always try to win games, we’re not always about counter-attacking.”
Tony Pulis
"I've heard people say Alan (Pardew) has spent a lot of money since he's been there but he's done a fantastic job.
"When you look at Alan's record over the years he has been as good as anyone and I know Roy will want to do this Euros and most probably the next World Cup but if you are looking for the next England manager Pardew has got to be looked at.
"He is definitely one who would come into the frame. He's done very well wherever he has been. He did a fantastic job at Newcastle and I don't think he got the credit he deserved there.
"He has been to Palace and picked it up. They have given him money to spent but he's got players like (Yohan) Cabaye who have come in and done exceptionally well. He deserves a lot of credit."
