Team news

The Eagles have a fairly clean bill of health and may be able to count on the services of Marouane Chamakh and ex-United man Fraizer Campbell who have both endured recent spells on the sidelines.

Alan Pardew may opt to bring back captain Mile Jedinak after resting him for the game against Chelsea.

For United, Michael Carrick won't feature as he's been ruled out for the rest of the season, but Luke Shaw is available to play after recovering from the slight problem that forced him out of their last game against West Brom.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

Speaking about Wilfried Zaha coming up against his former employees: "His time at United was a period in his career when things didn’t work out, and that happens for players, coaches and managers,".

"What he’s done [here] is approach it all in the right way. He’s been focused on the job.

"He’s learned you have to do certain things defensively in the Premier League without taking away from your offensive ability.

"He never really had an opportunity to learn that at United because he just didn’t play enough. That’s no fault of Man United’s: it’s the standards they have. He perhaps wasn’t quite ready. But he is a player we hope will grow here and will make an impact tomorrow. I’m sure he’ll be motivated to do that."
