Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"I think it's an important game, probably more so for QPR than for ourselves because of where they are and those three at the bottom of the table really need a win to get back in touch again.

"It's a must-win game for them, but for us we need to make sure we pick up points and wins when we can and then we'll be OK. We have a cushion at the moment but that can be eroded very quickly so tomorrow we have to make sure we're on our mettle.

"I don't know if Glenn will start, we played very well at Southampton and Dwight Gayle has done terrifically since I've been here so it's a tough call on that one, we'll have to wait and see.

"This new pitch is good but it's not perfect, Premier League pitches don't normally get relaid during the season so it's unusal we've had to do it but we have and we've had good success on it as in the last few games we've played really well."

Chris Ramsey

"Alan is a very organised manager so it’s going to be hard to break them down. I would take the draw because an away point is always good, but we’re looking for the win.

"[The next three games] are very, very important. You don’t have to say much to the players, they understand where we’re at. Everybody understands that each game now is a cup final for us.

"Anybody who can’t consider themselves mathematically safe will always look over their shoulder. We’ve seen in recent years people who thought they were safe, weren’t safe. And people who thought they were doomed saved themselves towards the end of the season.

"We want as many people in the dogfight as possible to give ourselves a real fighting chance to stay in the league."
