Crystal Palace repeated their efforts from last season winning 3-2 against Everton at Goodison Park.

Everton opening the scoring after only 9 minutes through Romelu Lukaku. However Palace were on level terms on the half hour mark when Tim Howard raced out his goal and up ended James McArthur in the box. Mile Jedinak converted the penalty with aplomb.

In the second half the Eagles took the lead when Howard failed to claim a long hanging cross from his left hand side and Fraizer Campbell headed the ball home.

On 69 minutes Yannick Bolasie then scored his first Premier League goal to make it 3-1 to the visitors, brilliantly slotting past Howard.

It was to be a tense final 10 minutes though for Palace when Scott Dann gave away a penalty which was put away by Leighton Baines.

Despite having six minutes of added time, Everton were unable to get past Speroni who was in fine form, and the game ended 3-2 to the South Londoners.
