Crystal Palace saw off relegation rivals West Bromwich Albion at Selhurst Park with a 3-1 win.

New signings Tom Ince and Joe Ledley netted on their debuts as Palace scored more than two goals for the first time since August.

They started the game well and almost found the net in the opening stages as Kagisho Dikgacoi's effort was booted off the line by Youssouf Mulumbu which then hit debutante Scott Dann and went over.

Bolasie could only head straight at West Brom keeper Ben Foster but he then had a hand in the first goal which arrived after 15 minutes.

The winger ran down the middle and was fouled by Liam Ridgewell, but the ball broke to Ince who lofted the ball over Foster to score.

Ledley extended the lead in the 27th minute with an unmarked header from Ince's corner.

Baggies boss Pepe Mel made a double substitution at the break, introducing debutante Thievy Bifouma and Scott Sinclair, and the former made an instant impact by linking up with Victor Anichebe on the left to score just 30 seconds into the half.

Julian Speroni kept Palace in the match with some brilliant stops to deny both James Morrison and Sinclair.

Palace made the points safe in the 69th minute with a penalty made and scored by Marouane Chamakh. The Eagles broke on the counter, and as Chamakh bore down on goal, Foster came out and pulled him down. The striker then slotted a cool spot-kick into the bottom right corner for his fifth goal of the season.

The biggest cheer of the day arrived three minutes later when Glenn Murray returned to the pitch for the first time since injuring his knee last May.

Despite chances from Morrison, Anichebe and Saido Berahino, West Brom failed to capitalise and the defeat means they fall into the relegation zone.

Palace, who have now taken 16 points from a possible 21 at Selhurst Park since Pulis joined in November, move up to 13th and three points clear of the drop.

Palace: Speroni, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Ledley, Jedinak, Dikgacoi, Puncheon (Murray 72), Ince, Bolasie (Parr 76), Chamakh (Thomas 83).

Not used: Gayle, Gabbidon, Hennessey, Bannan.
