Ian Holloway
Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway endured a disappointing return to Blackpool where his side lost 1-0 against 10 men.
With Hull and Watford facing each other on Tuesday, a victory for Palace would have moved them up to within three points of second place.
But they failed to take advantage of having an extra man for 48 minutes when Barry Ferguson was sent off for two bookings just before the break - the second a rash foul on Yannick Bolasie.
Then Matt Phillips got the only goal of the game in the 85th minute with a 20-yard curler that flew past Julian Speroni.
It was a poor display against a Blackpool team fighting to avoid relegation and the Eagles are now four games without a win with chances of automatic promotion slipping away.
