Lewis Price
Crystal Palace drew 0-0 against Stoke City in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
Palace boss Ian Holloway made a few changes to the side which beat Wolves on New Years Day, with Lewis Price placed between the sticks, and Jermaine Easter up front in place of an ill Glenn Murray.
Stoke City opted to play ex-England internationals Michael Owen and Peter Crouch up front.
Palace had the first chance of the game as early as the 2nd minute when Wilfried Zaha played in Jermaine Easter, but his shot was well saved by Stoke's keeper Thomas Sorensen.
On 12 minutes Owen got his head to a corner and the resulting looped ball across goal found it's way to Crouch but he put it wide from 6 yards out.
Zaha had a chance himself shortly before the break, but his angled drive was saved by Sorensen.
In the second half Palace gave a debut to Jason Banton, and he had a shot which hit the side netting.
Despite being the better team throughout, Palace will have to go to the Britannia Stadium on Tuesday 15th January to play a replay, to see if they can progress to the 4th round of the FA Cup.
