Palace v Millwall

Selhurst Park, Saturday 3.00pm

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace

Team news

One piece of Millwall news which will please all football fans is the return to football of Neil Harris.

The Millwall striker was diagnosed with testicular cancer just after the end of last season and underwent a course of radiotherapy in July.

He played and scored in a reserve match on Wednesday, however it is not know whether he will be fit enough to return to competitive action in time for Saturday's derby clash.

One player who will be available is new midfield signing Phil Stamp, however Irish under-21 international Joe Dolan is unlikely to recover in time for the game.

Midfielder Lucas Neill has joined Premiership newcomers Blackburn Rovers on a three-day trial with a view to a permanent move to Ewood Park, so he too will miss the derby game.

Palace have relatively few worries ahead of Saturday's game. Steve Bruce will have to decide whether to replace keeper Alex Kolinko with new signing Matt Clarke, who signed from Bradford for £1 million on Wednesday.

American forward Jovan Kirovski could also make his home debut if he returns from international duty fully fit.

Palace manager Steve Bruce was hoping to sign South African Marseille defender in time for the Millwall game, however his loan move to Selhurst Park has been delayed due to some further complications.

One to watch

Steve Claridge

Millwall's top scorer

Reid - 1 goals

Millwall's bad boy

Reid - 1 1

Palace old boys

Steve Claridge, and David Tuttle

Though Millwall fans would say Stephen Reid and Lucas Neill are much better than Claridge, it is obvious to Palace fans why he is the man to watch. The fluke in the play off final, the goal to help us lose a 2-0 lead against Pompey last year, he has an uncanny knack of scoring against us every time he plays. Let's hope we won't have the same trouble this time!
