Selhurst Park, Saturday 3.00pm
Eagles midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi could come back after being rested in the midweek win over Wolves with a muscle strain. Jon Williams, who replaced Dikgacoi in the side, may have a rest on the bench as he continues his recovery from a broken leg.
Paddy McCarthy (groin) is still out, while Peter Ramage, who has recovered from a thigh injury, could start at centre back.
Burnley defender Jason Shackell (knee) is a doubt and centre back Michael Duff is also sidelined with a knee problem.
Roy Hodgson
"As a manager, I learned a lot. I learned who was with me and I learned who was against me.
"I also learned that it doesn't matter what the so-called experts say when they point the fingers and ex-professionals sitting in media rooms telling you how it should be done.
"I've learned that my players are resilient in training every day and as a manager, I had to turn up to training and be brave.
"Because we have done that, we're starting to pull through and I think the fans see that."
"The boys that have come in have done fantastically well, there's been a few new faces, and even the guys that have been here a while have stepped up and taken the new responsibility on. We needed it at this club and it's really fun to be part of at the moment.
"Being captain is something I'm thriving on and it's a great responsibility that has been instilled in me and to lead the current bunch of boys is a great privilege.
"Hopefully I can do that for as long as possible and hopefully Paddy McCarthy is back sooner rather than later, then we'll see what happens, but if I can do my bit as a captain and lead by example, then I'm happy.
"We've got that hunger and desire at the moment that we don't want to let each other down. If someone makes a mistake, you want to help the guy out next to you because it can happen on any given day.
"We've got that in our team and good camaraderie. I think it's that self-belief that's been getting us over the line and that's how we've been playing well.
"It's great to be up there and hopefully we can keep the run going. We've got to keep it going game-by-game and if we can, there is no reason why we can't stay up there. We all know it's a long season in the Championship, let's not kid ourselves.
"We're only a fraction of the way through, but we have gone to some very tough places and been up against it at times. But we've shown great character and great determination to get over the line and there is no reason for it to stop, but circumstances change in football."
Lennie Lawrence
"We are in a good run of form and are going for it in every game. Hopefully we can get another win on Saturday to round this little spell of games off.
"We have worked hard and the players have responded to pick it up after the start we had, when we were letting in a lot of goals. We have stopped doing that now and we are looking a threat, so a lot of things have come together at the same time and a lot of players have hit top form.
"We are very pleased that we have been able to put such a run together, especially when we had been on a bad run before. We have probably got more strength in depth now than we had last year and it would be really nice to cap off this run of games with another win before the international break.
"It is a family day at Selhurst Park on Saturday for the visit of Burnley and hopefully we can attract some younger fans and give them an experience that will leave them wanting to come back. There are no easy games and Burnley will be no different, but we will be going out to win."
