Bristol City v Palace

Ashton Gate, Tuesday 7.45pm

Jon Williams

Jon Williams

Team news

Crystal Palace captain Paddy McCarthy (groin) and Jonathan Williams (calf strain) are still missing. Strikers Glenn Murray and Jermaine Easter could feature after sitting out Saturday's home loss against Watford.

Steve Davies is set to go straight into the Bristol City squad for the game after completing his transfer from Derby. Striker Ryan Taylor is out with an ankle problem, while Jody Morris could make his debut.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"Jonny Williams has got a calf strain. He's coming along, it's a result of his broken leg last year. We just need to be very careful with him, so maybe another week or so I think.

"Paddy's groin is playing up since he came off at Reading - it's a bit sore. We've just got to be strong instead of throwing people back in (too early) and hoping for the best."

Derek McInnes

"We know Crystal Palace are tough opponents; they're well disciplined and don't give away much. We didn't go and ask enough questions of Nottingham Forest so we've got to make sure this isn't the case on Tuesday.

"There was so much of the day we were pleased about but we've got to be positive in the final third. The players enjoyed playing at home last year and when we had a cause, they responded."
