Pride Park, Saturday 3.00pm
Palace boss Dougie Freedman will assess Julian Speroni and Paddy McCarthy who have been laid low with a virus and missed the defeat to Leicester. The Eagles manager will be hoping nobody else in the squad has caught the bug. Anthony Gardner (thigh) and Dean Moxey (knee) could feature. Jon Williams (broken leg) and Alex Marrow (ankle) are still out.
Derby striker Nathan Tyson hopes to have recovered from a groin injury to play. Midfielder Jeff Hendrick (ankle) and striker Steve Davies (skull fracture) are still out. On-loan striker Tamas Priskin has returned to Ipswich.
Roy Hodgson
"It's a big month for us and we've got a lot of games coming up, starting with Derby on Saturday and the FA Cup is a wonderful occasion and a wonderful competition.
"[Just because we've got a Carling Cup semi-final on Tuesday] does not mean I'm going to be resting players.
"I'm not going to rest anyone because it's the FA Cup and you must give it your best, but with injuries and sickness I might have no choice.
"We need to make sure everybody's fit and I would not be risking anybody against Derby who is still feeling sick.
"If anyone else picks it up my hand may be forced, but I will be picking a side as best I can that I feel can go and win the match with Derby.
"We have never really seen the cups as a distraction, if it was then it's a nice distraction playing Manchester United and Crawley, it's been quite nice for us and we're looking forward to [the two games with Cardiff].
"It's never easy when you play other teams in this division in the cups, but the cup competitions are a little bit different, the atmosphere is a little bit different."
Nigel Clough
"We don’t think it’s a coincidence (results have improved against good opposition) with the back four out there and an unchanged side for the second time this season.
"We feel we are good enough to stay at the top of the Championship with our best side out. It has been an encouraging team performance in the last two games.
"The endeavour and honesty shone through. You have to play at that level to get results against the likes of Leeds and West Ham.
"We can’t ask any more of the players. We’ve tried to do it (fly out of the blocks) generally at home this season and be positive from the off, and we were rewarded with two goals."
