Midfield duo Neil Danns and Sean Scannell return from suspension following recent red cards. Striker James Vaughan will undergo a late fitness test due to his ankle injury. Steffen Iversen and Pablo Counago are available after missing the Hull game through injury and illness.

Forest striker Robert Earnshaw is banned, Robbie Findley (thigh) is doubtful and Paul Konchesky's loan spell has finished. Joel Lynch (thigh) is injured, so former Palace loanee Julian Bennett, Chris Cohen or Chris Gunter will come in at left-back.
