Palace midfielder Neil Danns is banned following his red card at the end of last week's win over Leeds. Darren Ambrose has overcome knee trouble and should step in. Sean Scannell is suspended after his recent red card and Alex Marrow still sidelined.

Hull midfielder Robert Koren (hamstring) is set to come back into the side but on-loan defender Corry Evans (hamstring) and Liam Rosenior (knee) are out. Matt Duke will remain in goal with Vito Mannone out with a damaged shoulder.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"We have to try and build on the performances at Doncaster and against Leeds with two more good ones against Hull and Nottingham Forest.

"To be honest I won't take any great sense of achievement even when we do confirm our survival. For a club like Crystal Palace finishing fourth from bottom or fifth from bottom of the Championship isn't anything to be particularly proud of.

"It was simply a situation we have found ourselves in and one we have had to deal with.

"The team have handled the pressure very well. What is good with this group of players is that whatever you throw at them they just get on with the job with a smile on their faces.

"We have two more big games to finish the season and that's where my focus lies at the moment.

"Hull still have an outside chance of getting into the play-offs so that will be a very tough game. But the way my team has played in recent weeks has given me confidence.

"We want to keep moving forward and finish as strongly as we possibly can. One more point will give us safety, but two more wins would be a lot more satisfying.

"We want to finish this season on a high and then take that forward into the next campaign.

"It will be a slow and steady process but I think we have made enough progress over the past few months to be optimistic for the future."

Nigel Pearson

"It's probably too much [to make the play-offs]. We've got to win our games and we'll need other people to slip up. It's unlikely but the fact we've kept it going this long is positive.

"We'll rue missed opportunities and our home form has been very disappointing but I have to look at it with a bit more balance.

"After the start we had and having a squad that wasn't good enough at the start of the season, they're the main reasons. But we've made great strides and it's important that we finish on a positive note."
