Darren Ambrose rescued a point for Crystal Palace with a late penalty to draw 2-2 at home to Derby.
The Eagles' talisman fired in from the spot with just two minutes left of this basement battle to give his side a hard fought share of the spoils.
Palace went close to taking an early lead when on-loan Rams keeper Frank Fielding saved from James Vaughan and Steffen Iversen missed the rebound.
But Derby went ahead in the seventh minute when Stephen Pearson scored with a left foot shot from 12 yards out.
Fielding pushed out an Ambrose effort before the hosts were on terms after 20 minutes thanks to Dean Moxey's 25 yard strike against his former club.
Fielding denied Ambrose again with a good save and Moxey tried his luck for a second goal at the start of the second half.
However on 62 minutes, Jamie Ward put the Rams in from with a brilliant shot from distance that nestled into the top corner.
Anthony Gardner headed Ambrose's free-kick off target before Palace grabbed a deserved equaliser in the 88th minute. Derby midfielder Paul Green fouled Neil Danns for a penalty and Ambrose kept his cool to rifle home.
