Team news

Goalkeeper Julian Speroni missed Saturday's defeat at Burnley with a groin injury and may be rested again. Lewis Price will come in for the Argentine should he not make it.

Midfielder Alex Marrow is fit again, while new loan signing Kemy Agustien hopes to make his Palace debut after coming in from Swansea until the end of the season.

Cardiff striker Michael Chopra is available after shaking off an ankle knock against Ipswich. Paul Quinn and Seyi Olofinjana are still out for the Bluebirds.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"It will be a very, very difficult game. They've got quality in their squad, Premier League players, so it's going to be a very hard match for us but I do believe if we can acquit ourselves in the right manner and show the right attitude to winning the game then we'll have a very good chance. Our home form suggests that anyone coming to Selhurst Park will find it difficult.

"Coming back home, with the fans support behind us, it's an intimidating place to play - especially on a Tuesday night. I'm hoping the fans will get right behind the lads, the effort and the desire to win matches is there to see, we just need that little bit of luck to get us over the line for the three points.

"Cardiff, probably for me, have one of the best front lines in this division. They've got internationals up there, they are top players but we've shown over the last six games that if anyone's going to get anything from us they are going to have to work really hard for it.

"We will make it very difficult for Cardiff, and we've got one or two bits of firepower ourselves. Easter, Vaughan, Steffen Iversen's doing well, Neil Danns and Darren Ambrose, so we won't worry too much about Cardiff and we'll focus on our own game."
