Selhurst Park, Saturday 3.00pm
The Eagles will be without club captain Paddy McCarthy after he suffered a groin injury during last weekend's match against Sheffield United.
McCarthy is expected to be out for a fortnight. Anthony Gardner still has a back injury so Adam Barrett is expected to replace McCarthy in the centre of defence.
Owen Garvan starts a two-match ban for his dismissal last weekend, but Darren Ambrose could return after recovering from a hamstring strain.
Sean Scannell may be on the bench after playing 45 minutes for the reserves in midweek.
Former Barnsley defender Dennis Souza may make his debut for Doncaster after receiving international clearance.
Sean O'Driscoll is expected to stick with on-loan David Healy up front alongside James Hayter.
Roy Hodgson
Palace midfielder Neil Danns
"In my opinion it's the hardest game of the whole month, they play some really good football and on their day they can beat anyone. We're not underestimating them in any way, especially after last season's result."
Sean O'Driscoll
"Every time we play a team who have gone through the turmoil they have, it's difficult.
"It makes them unpredictable. Their academy has produced some really good young and exciting players. I think there are one or two that they have managed to keep hold of rather than sell.
"Under Neil (Warnock), I thought they were strong, physical and predictable. Under George (Burley, current Palace manager), they're probably more flexible but unpredictable."
