Deepdale, Saturday 3.00pm
Eagles manager George Burley is likely to stick with the same team that beat Norwich in midweek for Palace's first away win of the season.
Centre half Calude Davis sits out the second of his four-match ban after his red card against Millwall.
Darren Ambrose (leg), Sean Scannell (knee), Neil Danns (knee) and Lee Hills (knee) are all missing.
Preston midfielder Matty James should make a return to the side after six weeks out with a damaged ankle. Striker Josh King (ankle) is a doubt, while Wayne Brown is sidelined with a hamstring inury.
Roy Hodgson
"We've got to take on the last two away performances against Cardiff and Norwich, who are both top-six clubs, into the game at Preston.
"It will be a tough game and Preston will be desperate for a win at home but we feel if we can get our game right we can give anyone a game."
"You can play as well as you want but if you're not getting any points on the board it's no good to anyone.
"Getting the results is the most important thing, we've got that win now and we need to take that into Preston away at the weekend. We've got a result and that's something to build on, but we're looking to put together a run of wins.
"If you do that in this league you can climb the table quickly, so this will give us a bit of confidence and that's what we can take into the next game.
"The table doesn't lie and if you're down there in the bottom half then obviously something's not right. Maybe it's a bit of luck, maybe you're conceding a few too many goals, maybe you're not scoring enough.
"It can be different things and that's what our problem has been, we've not gelled everything together, but [at Norwich] we did that.
"We've shown even if we go behind we've got the confidence to come back and at a place like Norwich as well, they're flying at the top of the league."
Darren Ferguson
"It's not a case that if we're beaten on Saturday I'll be sacked. We're all in this together and it's a long term project.
"We've got a developing team. The players are 100% behind me, so the fans have to accept we're going through a bad run."
