Claude Davis
Ten-man Crystal Palace were defeated 1-0 by in-form Leicester at Selhurst Park.
Claude Davis, who was back from a two-game suspension, was shown a straight red card for violent conduct against Michael Morrison just before the break.
The Foxes made the extra man count and sealed all three points through Bruno Berner's 53rd minute strike.
Leicester started brightly with Andy King heading just over and Paul Gallacher flashed a shot wide of the target.
Davis was then booked for a rash lunge on King as the away side pressed for an opening goal.
Calvin Andrew brought a fine block out of Foxes keeper Chris Weale in the 28th minute, and from the resulting corner, Leicester broke clear and Julian Speroni made a good save to keep out Matt Oakley's shot.
Just before half-time, Davis was given his marching orders by referee Steve Tanner for lashing out at Morrison off the ball after Tanner was alerted by his linesman.
Palace boss Paul Hart introduced Matt Lawrence at centre half and Lee Hills at left-back in place of Nathaniel Clyne and Alan Lee for the second half.
Berner shot over from range, then put his side in front eight minutes after the interval. Speroni made an excellent block to deny Waghorn but the ball fell into the path of Berner who made no mistake.
Neil Danns brought out a save from Weale, while Speroni expertly tipped Gallagher's effort around the post.
Palace almost snatched an equaliser in the 67th through Clint Hill's header but Weale made an excellent save.
