Julian Speroni
An inspired performance from Julian Speroni ensured Crystal Palace claimed a point in a 0-0 draw at Barnsley.
The Argentine goalkeeper made a number of excellent stops as the Eagles earned a draw at Oakwell.
Barnsley created the first incident of note in the seventh minute when Adam Hammill blasted over from 25 yards.
Alan Lee forced Tykes stopper Luke Steele into save with a header, while Speroni easily collected Daniel Bogdanovic's effort.
The home side upped the pressure as Speroni was equal to Bogdanovic's effort and Hugo Colace volleyed off target from distance.
Darren Ambrose fired a shot just past the post from 12 yards and Bogdanovic sent in another shot from 20 yards that was easy for Speroni. Then before half-time, the Palace keeper made a top save to thwart Filipe Teixeira.
Barnsley brought on Luke Potter for Carl Dickinson and Palace introduced Joahnnes Ertl in place of Nick Carle for the second half.
Speroni saved from Teixeira and Bogdanovic yet again and Lee forced a comfortable save out of Preece.
Former Palace striker Jon Macken tested Speroni from the edge of the area and Stephen Foster headed over the bar from a Hammill corner.
Speroni made a brilliant block to deny Ryan Shotton's header then reacted well to keep out Macken's chance from the resulting corner.
Palace could have won the match right at the end but substitute Alassane N'Diaye headed Danns' cross straight to Preece.
