Kieran Djilali
Crystal Palace moved out of the relegation zone after a 1-1 draw at Doncaster Rovers.
The Eagles were dealt an early blow with Claude Davis coming off injured after just six minutes and was replaced by Lee Hills.
Doncaster had the better of the opening exchanges as Billy Sharp nodded wide and James Hayter fired a shot off target from a James Coppinger corner.
Former Palace winger John Oster also has two attempts on goal before Rovers went in front in the 37th minute through James Coppinger's shot from 18 yards.
James Chambers had a go from range, while Mark Wilson and Coppinger were thwarted by Speroni.
Palace boss Neil Warnock brought on Johannes Ertl for Hills at half-time to shake things up and it seemed to have the desired effect.
Darren Ambrose and Nick Carle rained in shots on goal and Shaun Derry's effort was blocked by Hayter as the Londoners looked much better.
And on 67 minutes, Palace got the goal their play deserved with Kieran Djilali - making his first start of the season - tucked away Ambrose's cross from six yards for his first senior goal.
Ambrose had a good effort late on, while Speroni saved from Sharp and Hird headed wide but Palace will be happy to move up a place and out of the bottom three.
