Team news

Crystal Palace hope midfield duo Darren Ambrose and Neil Danns have recovered from a virus. Both were told to stay away from the training ground this week it case it spreads to the rest of the squad.

Danny Butterfield is a major doubt due to a hamstring strain, so Nathaniel Clyne is ready to step in at right-back.

Barnsley skipper Stephen Foster is available after recovering from a cut eye. He will compete with Bobby Hassell, who is back after an Achilles problem, for a place in the side.

Quotes

Mark Robins

"Crystal Palace have had an up and down time of it but I am sure they will fancy their chances tomorrow. Going to Selhurst Park is always a very difficult proposition but we have to look to get back to winning ways. We are playing some decent stuff and we have a confident squad but we are expecting a very tough game."

Mick Jones

"Mark Robins did a remarkable job at Rotherham considering they were in administration and off the back of that he got the Barnsley job. I think the boy is going to go far.

"The two home games against Barnsley and Ipswich are very important to us. Neil badly wanted to go back and win at his old club [Sheffield Utd] and it cut deep at the weekend.

"But the manager is so resilient - he has got skin as thick as a rhino - and come Monday morning he was buzzing again and was back on form in training on Tuesday."
