Selhurst Park, Saturday 3.00pm

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace

Team news

Forward Anthony Stokes should make his first start in a Palace shirt after joining from Sunderland on loan.

Nick Carle sits the match out through suspension but centre back Claude Davis hopes to have shaken off his hamstring injury to play. Paddy McCarthy is still recovering from his shoulder operation.

Preston defender Youl Mawene should return after overcoming his hamstring problem. Jon Parkin and Paul McKenna are suspended and Richard Chaplow is a doubt due to a hamstring strain.

Quotes

Preston skipper Paul McKenna

"It will be a tough test, Palace haven't been great of late but they've brought in a couple of players on loan and they have had a strong squad for a number of seasons.

"Every game is a tough game, we went to Forest and put in our best away performance for some time and we came away with nothing. That proved that if you take your eye of the ball for a minute you get punished in this league. It will be no different down there and the lads need to be on their game."
