Team news

Crystal Palace midfielder Nick Carle is available for selection after sitting out his one-match suspension in the midweek triumph over Plymouth. But winger Paul Ifill is a worry after picking up a hamstring injury during that match.

Claude Davis, who will now be staying on loan at Palace until the end of the season, will continue in defence in place of Paddy McCarthy who is still out with a shoulder injury.

Sheffield Wednesday star Lewis Buxton sits the game out through suspension but Mark Beevers should return. Francis Jeffers is aiming for a starting role in attack.

Quotes

Brian Laws

"The cheeky sod [Neil Warnock] sent me a text message having a go at me when we beat Sheffield United the other week, so that shows he's still got something against Wednesday!

"I get on well with Neil and I know not to expect any favours as they will do anything they can to damage us. We've got to treat this like a derby game as Neil will wind his players up, because his passion for the game is still there."
