Team news

Trevor Francis is unlikely to mae any wholesale changes to the starting XI that beat Millwall 1-0 last Saturday. One important change could be Andy Johnson’s return to the front line following a few matches out with an ankle injury.

Youngster Wayne Routledge is suffering with a thigh injury which is likely to keep him out of the clash against the Canaries. 17 year old Routledge was a second half substitute against Millwall however his spell on the pitch was cut short due to a reoccuring thigh problem.

The Canaries are currently joint third in the Division One table alongside Nottingham Forest and Reading, and Nigel Worthington’s men travel to Selhurst hoping to carry on their good run.

Norwich will be without Alex Notman who has been ruled out for the rest of the season. Having featured on the right side of midfield in every single one of Norwich’s leage games this season the young Scot had to undergo an ankle operation and will not play for the rest of the season.

One to watch

Paul McVeigh

Norwich City's top scorer

McVeigh - 11 goals

Norwich City's bad boy

Kenton/Nedegaard - 3 0

Palace old boys

Emblen

The Norwich forward, a huge favourite with the Canaries faithful, is the team's top scorer and the main drive behind their consistency at the top end of the table. He is a quick thiking player who is comfortable with the ball at his feet, which he proved by netting in the game only a few weeks ago at Carrow Road. Palace will need to keep a closer eye on him this time round if they are to get a result!
