Team news

Darren Powell should return to the Eagles' starting line-up after going off with a neck injury in the 3-2 defeat to Portsmouth.

Trevor Francis said: "He damaged his neck but we hope he will be back."

Curtis Fleming should also make his comeback to the side after having stitches above his eye.

He said: "The eye's okay after a free week. I'm available for selection and hopefully can get back in the team."

For Coventry, boss Gary McAllister is expected to field an unchanged line-up. He should name himself in the side after shaking off a hamstring strain and Morten Hyldgaard will keep his place in goal.

So far, Coventry have beaten Sheffield United at home 2-1; drew 0-0 away to Brighton & Hove Albion and beat Reading away 2-1.

One to watch

Jay Bothroyd

Coventry City's top scorer

Jay Bothroyd - 2 goals

Coventry City's bad boy

Davenport - 2 0

Palace old boys

Richard Shaw and Dean Gordon

The former Arsenal youngster, who has represented England on most levels under the first XI broke onto the scene last year with a series of fine displays and scoring some very important goals, including one against Palace at Selhurst that was one of the best goals scored against us in a very long time.

Tall and good in the air, Bothroyd is also very comfortable with the ball at his feet, though his fiery temper could cause him some trouble. If Palace are to shut out the Sky Blues on Saturday, he is the man to stop.
