Parking
There is street parking in and around Walton Lane or near Anfield. Alternatively, try the Stanley Park car park, in Priory Road. A better option might be Walton Lifestyles Sports Centre (L4 9XP) which is a 15-minute walk but you'll beat the traffic queues after the match.

By Train

Nearest Station
Kirkdale (Northern Line) - about one mile from the ground.

Many people prefer to got to Sandhills station (Northern Line) and jump on the Soccerbus which runs a frequent shuttle between the station and Goodison Park.

If you’re travelling in by train, ask for a ticket to ‘Goodison Park’ and for an add-on of just £1 you’ll get a return trip on the Soccerbus.

Another option is Liverpool is Lime Street. It's three miles from the stadium but could be worth a taxi.

Bus: Catch the 19, 19a, 20, 21 or 311 from the bus station for about a 20 minute journey.

Check train times and tickets at The Trainline. For more information, call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50.

Where to Eat?

St Lukes church located in the corner of the ground sells cheap teas and snacks. There are lots of football pies to choose from inside the ground.

Where to Drink?

A Wetherspoon's and Bradleys Wine Bar, both on Walton Road, come recommended. The city centre has lots of pubs and bars to choose from, while there a few by Liverpool Lime Street station.

Beer is served inside the away end but the bar closes 15 minutes before the game starts.

What's their ground like?

Goodison Park is a good, old fashioned football ground which has tonnes of character.

It's been superseded by much newer grounds with better views and facilities and the club are unsuccessfully trying to move to a new stadium.

Only the Park Stand behind one goal (built in 1994) doesn't have supporting pillars restricting the view. The three-tiered Main Stand that was constructed more than 40 years ago still looks impressive.

Visiting supporters will be situated in the corner of the Bullens Road Stand with an allocation of 3,000.

If there's a a small turnout, then fans are given just the lower tier which holds 1,700.

Try to get seats at the front of the upper/lower section so the pillars or roof don't obscure your view. Facilities and leg room are basic.

What do they sing?

"Oh we hate Bill Shankly and we hate St John,
"But most of all we hate Big Ron,
"And we’ll hang the kopites one by one,
"On the banks of the royal blue Mersey."

Songs to sing back

"In your Liverpool slums
"You look in a dustbin for something to eat
"You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat
"In your Liverpool slums

"In your Liverpool slums
"Your mum's on the game and your dad's in the nick
"You can't get a job 'cause your too fucking thick
"In your Liverpool slums

"In your Liverpool slums
"You wear a shell suit and have got curly hair
"All of your kids are in council care
In your Liverpool slums

"In your Liverpool slums
"There's piss on the pavement and shit on the path
"You finger your grandma and think it's a laugh
"In your Liverpool slums."

Who do they hate?

Liverpool.
