How many prediction leagues will there be during the tournament?

One

How is the league table worked out?

The following points are awarded after every match: -

  • Get the half time score exactly correct - 3 Points
  • Get the full time score exactly correct - 3 Points
  • Get the fact that 'Team 1' were winning at half time - 1 Points
  • Get the fact that 'Team 1' won the match at full time - 1 Points
  • Get the fact that 'Team 2' were winning at half time - 1 Points
  • Get the fact that 'Team 2' won the match at full time - 1 Points
  • Get the fact that the teams were drawing at half time - 1 Points
  • Get the fact that the teams drew the match at full time - 1 Points

The maximum points you can pick up for one match is 8 points.

However, all points are doubled if you use your Joker card for the match - see below for details

The Joker card

The Joker is placed on the prediction that you are most confident about and will double your score for that match.

Use it wisely as you only have one card and don't forget, double of 0 is 0!

If you are off the leaders, then it's a good way to catch up or increase your lead at the top!

What happens with games that end in penalties?

Points are awarded for FULL-TIME scores in league matches. If the match goes to extra time the score AFTER EXTRA TIME will be used (this does not include penalty shoot-out scores).

What happens if two or more people are topping the league at the end?

The winner will be the person who has predicted the LEAST number of games. After that, the winner will be the person who has obtained more "maximum 8 points" than the rest. After that, the winner will be drawn by lots.

I'll never remember to predict for each match - can you remind me?!

When you go to add your prediction for a particular match there is an extra box you can tick which will enable our reminder email service. This service will send you an email a couple of days before the game, to remind you.
