Tommy Black scored a late equaliser to earn The Eagles a deserved draw against Watford at Vicarage Road.
Dean Austin opened the scoring from the spot after Ricardo Fuller, who made his first starting appearance for Palace, was brought down in the penalty box.
The Eagles had a few more chances to increase the lead before half time, but they were all sqaundered.
On 59 minutes, Tommy Smith hit the upright for Watford and minutes later, Clinton Morrison grazed the outside of the upright with a shot for Palace.
Then Watford struck twice. Allan Nielsen headed one in on 76 minutes and two minutes later it was Tommy Mooney who put Watford ahead from 25 yards.
In the 88th minute, Tommy Black scored a deserved equaliser for Palace. He fired the ball home from outside the box.
