Football has had many changes over the past 25 years.
Biggest one must have been the buy out of the sport by the super rich which has brought unimaginable wealth for those at the top of the sport and created an illusionary playground for the super rich driven by ego, tv exposure and publicity.
Sadly, the game has dragged its heels (especially under Seb Blatter who just saw money) and it has gone down a road of regulation and accuracy that has taken the sheer fun, excitement and emotion out of the game.
Manty ideas have been raised as ways of improving the fan experience. Bigger goals, less players on the field, different offside rules favouring the attacker etc etc.
None of them have been introduced. The only major change has been VAR which has really taken so much out of the game, the big one being spontaneous decisions. If we are to continue with it, it really needs the computer world to devise a system that gives instantaneous results. Totally achievable. Just like goal line technology.
Even on here I have recently noted a ground swell of season ticket holders questioning their presence at games, and I totally sympathise. It is becoming plain boring. Not just at Palace but at most premier games.
Something needs to be changed to re ignite what football is....excitement.
Slipping down a division to find it is surely counter productive, but quite probably real.
So come on football. Wake up to this and react.

I have been looking in the old biscuit tin buddy and its not looking good . i could prob muster up enough for 10 percent but id want and equal vote on all transactions while getting a handson wage for myself . you could always take a loan out on that Villa/castle and yacht you own in Lanzarote, between you eagleman and my biscuit tin we just might do it . we could call it Lantruck holding investing group Eagleman can be a silent partner.

Even 'Yours Truly' an ardent supporter since the 60s, is thinking of NOT attending the Sheff Utd match and should I gallivant down this path this will shock all and sundry who know my fervent allegiance to the club.

A 4 hour round trip to witness dour uninspiring football, but certainly a cure for insomnia !
Alas It has all gone stale, moribund, lacking in vim and vigour and season ticket holders have not had value for money in recent campaigns in terms of performances and results.

In all honesty I have had enough of leaving the ground in a hissy fit, 'Looking forward' to the long journey back to the south coast.

Steve Parish is a pretty smooth operator. When he voted against transfers between clubs owned by the same person or entity, he knew what he was doing and the impact on Textor.

As I'm sure I have already posted if this was anything other than a football club Parish would have been sacked for gross misconduct for going against the wishes of the club's largest shareholder

The role of directors is to run the company on behalf of the shareholders and in this case Textor is the largest shareholder with 45% of the equity.

As Parish is well aware Textor isn't resident in the UK and would probably be unaware of the Premier League proposals so Parish would be duty bound to inform him to discuss which way the club should vote
