That's fair enough. But why did textor agree with the model in the first place and then throw his toys out of his pram after agreeing.

See my earlier post in which I said ;

As I said earlier in this thread, Textor's involvement has largely been a disappointment because it's apparent that he doesn't agree with Parish on a number of issues and the result is a lack of harmony and unified direction from the Board. How did they ever agree to do business with one another in the first place ?

Totally agree.

Frankly, I'd rather Parish has that voting power over Textor. My opinion is that Textor seems to envision Palace as a funnel for his other football clubs and how to profit from selling players via transfers between them. He would've known what he was getting into when buying shares, I expect it would've been very clearly stated. If he thought otherwise, then that's on him. My preference would be Textor makes an exit as and when he can and sells up. The guy doesn't come across as transparent with his businesses.

Absolutely.

I'm still intrigued by the fact that Textor's multi club model apparently was either acceptable when he first invested or not disclosed because Parish was always going to have an issue with that.

I suspect it was not fully disclosed and I seem to recall tensions with Parish as soon as the extent of his plans became apparent; however, lets remember that Palace really needed his funding both in that summers transfer market and also to complete the academy facilities. Presumably Harris and Blitzer were not prepared to put more money in having supported the club through covid.
Re the 25% voting rights Parish holds, I can see the sense in that. Essentially, it means they are all equal partners in any football matters despite their investments varying. Also, Parish is very well aware of the history of Palace with its two administrations, and hence, rightly in my view, keeps a tight grip on how much the club can afford to stretch itself financially.

I apologize for not being as intelligent as you

Beggars. Choosers. We clearly aren’t big enough &/or attractive enough to attract the sort of well-funded big investors who could buy the club outright. Or we would have done so by now. And how many owners of football clubs are transparent in their dealings anyway.

I'm not so sure as I think that it's Parish's desire to carry on running the club that is holding things up

Or maybe the other way round, with the Premier League being where the big money is maybe he wanted his other clubs to be feeder and development clubs for Palace. It is fairly common practice to use a feeder club to get around work permit issues for players.

Who is the bogey man here? Guess you are either in the Parish camp or Textor camp.

Olympique Lyonnais was valued at $800m when JT bought in.
Arguably that's x5 our value.
When you see their set up, stadium, on site academy etc., dedicated railway from city centre to the ground, it is impressive.

Saw this on bbc transfer gossip, now, if true, he has money for Lyon but no-one else . . . French club Lyon are trying to sign 26-year-old Netherlands winger Arnaut Danjuma, who joined Everton on a season-long loan from Villarreal last summer. (Liverpool Echo)

It makes sense for him (Textor) as Lyon are a much bigger club than Palace and will likely be able to challenge for Europe in the next season or so.

I note also that it looks like Adamarola may well be on his way on loan to Textor's other European club RWD Molenbeek.

IMO, Textor made a mistake buying into Palace as we're never going to be earning the kind of money he hoped for from a PL club.
