We got 2 points more in the last 4 games than I expected, but with proper in game management from the manager, it would have been at least 4 points. Sadly the only time he used his bench and managed properly was against City, where he was forced by an injury and the fact we were two down into doing the right thing. He's running his chosen few into the ground and it's costing us points IMO. There are no guarantees in football, but the last four games have proved that we are good enough to give every team in this division a very close game. We've deserved more, but we just run out of steam or we just refuse to try and win a game, cos the manager is terrified of changing things in case we lose, but in doing so he's ensuring we lose anyway. The only way we find out if players are good enough is to play them. Fcuk it, after 19 games we should already know if they are good enough, cos they should have the minutes under their belts already. For the record I'd have bought on França for Eze and Ahamada for Mateta on 75-80 mins, moving Ayew up top. Then Ozoh for Richards a few minutes later. As I say there are no guarantees, but at least I can say that I tried everything to get something from the game.
Roy is just waiting for the cup game where he will throw all of them in at once, into a totally ill prepared one off team and then claim, "told you so".
I'm sad that Roy will eventually leave as a villain, but he should never have come back.

Spot on for me.

At one point in the commentary it was revealed Palace have had 80 corners this season with not one goal resulting (only team in the prem without a corner goal). This can't all be bad luck or poor finishing. It smacks of a lack of a corner strategy, or routines or just trying different things. We have become very solid defending corners but bereft of ideas or imagination in taking them. This has to be a coaching issue. Perhaps, another example where defensive coaching is more evident than offensive.

Roy has been brilliant for us but he looked a tired and beaten man last night. I would be disappointed to see him leave on a low but if we fail to beat Brentford then I think he will go.

There are those who believe he will be in situ for the Brentford game and dearly hope that we fail to secure the victory as they believe this will signal the departure of our manager.

Suffice to say he has become 'Persona Non Grata' amongst sections of our fanbase.In football as in life one day one is cock of the walk, another a feather duster.

I still think he’ll be here for the rest of the season, I’m sure SP will be thinking he’s still that safe option that will still grind out enough points to get us to safety despite the terrible run we’re on
A change now could be a disaster, by the time the new man shakes things up and settles down we could be in the bottom three and it might be a struggle to get out then.

This is what I think parish will be thinking, not me, personally I’d take the chance now and pull the trigger just to liven things up but then relegation doesn’t particularly bother me, been there, done that several times
