Dean Austin has spoken of his disgust at having to cancel his holiday plans in order to play for Palace in the European Communities Trophy.
Austin had booked his holiday to Dubai four months ago, but Simon Jordan stepped in at the last moment and ordered him to cancel the trip.
Austin was told by his agent that Jordan would reimburse the £2,000 cost of the trip, however Austin is doubtful whether that will happen.
He said on his official website: "The chairman has said that I should have asked permission to go on holiday. How petty is that?
"In 14 years as a professional I've never asked permission to go on holiday! I know that Simon Jordan has done well for me since he's been at the club and, in turn, I've done well for him but I'm not happy about the whole thing."
