The Hawthorns, Tuesday 8.00pm
Palace manager Roy Hodgson is set to make wholesale changes for the cup clash at West Brom and rest the bulk of side who played against Newcastle in the league on Saturday.
Midfielder Max Mayer should start again for the consecutive cup game having made four substitute appearances in the Premier League.
Jason Puncheon, Jairo Riedewald and Jeffrey Schlupp are poised to join him the the middle of the park in a team similar to the one that saw off Swansea in the previous round.
West Brom midfielder James Morrison has recovered from a leg injury and is likely to make a return for the Baggies.
Roy Hodgson
"Scott [Dann] has joined in part of the training sessions for the last week, Pape [Souare] has joined in for two days and I will need to speak to the people who monitor those things before I make those decisions as to whether or not they can play or be involved.
"For a long period of time, we didn’t even have a squad at all, because there were no recognised forwards to choose from, which is why we ended up playing with Wilf [Zaha] and Andros [Townsend].
"Also, we had so many other injuries, with Jason Puncheon out for the season, Scott Dann out for the season, Jeffrey Schlupp had two very serious injuries, Wilf Zaha had two very serious injuries, Pape Souare was out for a long period of time.
"Quite often it wasn’t difficult to say who the substitutes were going to be, because that was the number of players we had.
"Now with Scott Dann coming back to fitness, Pape Souare coming back to fitness, a few players who didn’t make the bench [against Newcastle] – Jairo Riedewald and Jonny Williams - we do have more players to choose from and that’s good, we need that. But largely it is due to the fact that we have overcome our injury problems."
Darren Moore
"I’m looking forward to seeing Roy and his team here. He’s a wonderful man, I’ve got the highest respect for Roy and hold him in the highest regard.
"For a young head coach coming into the game I can only aspire to do half of some of the things Roy has done.
"He’s been a phenomenal servant to professional football and deserves all the accolades he gets because he has done wonders for this game."
