Liberty Stadium, Tuesday 7.30pm
Palace manager Roy Hodgson will make wholesale changes to his line-up for this League Cup clash at the Liberty Stadium. Fringe players Sullay Kaikai, Jonny Williams, Jairo Riedewald and Jason Puncheon, plus Alexander Sorloth are likely to get run-outs.
Centre half James Tomkins won't feature due to a calf injury sustained in the warm-up at Sunday's match against Watford.
On-loan striker Jordan Ayew will sit the game out as he is ineligible to play against his parent club.
Vicente Guaita is set to make his first Eagles appearance in goal, while Hodgson could give maiden starts to fellow new boys Max Meyer and Cheikhou Kouyate in midfield as they step up their match fitness.
Swans boss Graham Potter is also set to ring the changes but won't have new loan singing Cameron Carter-Vickers who is coming back from a leg injury.
Midfielder Jay Fulton (hand), goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt (groin), strikers Oli McBurnie (toe) and Wilfried Bony (knee) are all doubts. Skipper Leroy Fer is still on his way back to fitness.
Roy Hodgson
"I think we will have to use our squad. Swansea have very kindly insisted on the game being played on Tuesday despite the fact we are playing on Sunday.
"They have also insisted that the player we paid money for on a loan [Jordan Ayew] isn't allowed to play, so that’s another player we can't use.
"So, basically speaking, we won’t have too much option unless we are prepared to play Sunday, Tuesday, Saturday and I don’t think there will be too many Premier League teams with the importance of Premier League football looking forward to playing their first teams in those situations."
Graham Potter
"There are a lot of games in the Championship and we have to prioritise. But at the same time, we want to put a team out we can learn something from.
"We will try to win the game – we will always try to do that. We will try to approach the game in a respectful way and we will try to get a positive result.
"We are up against a Premier League team so it will be a tough test. They had a game on Sunday so I imagine they will make a few changes, if not the whole team.
"For us it’s a chance to get back out on to the pitch, and you need that sometimes after a defeat. We will see who needs some recovery time and who needs a chance to play and then we will pick a team."
