Krasnodar's Russian striker Fedor Smolov is being chased by Palace, according football agent Sandor Varga. He said: "I am aware of the interest being shown by Roy Hodgson, the manager of Crystal Palace, also my friend. They are watching him very closely. He could be a good fit for the Premier League." Palace are holding talks with 19-year-old Toulouse goalkeeper Alban Lafont. PSV Eindhoven and Fiorentina are also interested in the 6ft 4in stopper. (L’Equipe)
