Gregg Berhalter is set to miss Palace's matches in January as he will be on international duty with the USA.
Luckily the defender won't be much of a loss as he has not found a regular first team place this season.
Berhalter will be part of the squad which will play the Gold Cup in Los Angeles, part of USA's build up to the World Cup in the summer.
As it is a Fifa sanctioned competition, Palsce have to let Berhalter play. Team-mate Jovan Kirovski has not been picked for the squad.
The US team will face South Korea and Cuba and if they win, will play a quarter-final on January 27. The semi-final is on January 31 and final on February 2 should they get that far.
