We bid farewell to the Crystal Palace legend, leader and warrior Mile Jedinak by remembering some of his big moments.

Jedi Knight arrives

The then 26-year-old joins on a free transfer from Turkish club Genclerbirligi in July 2011 as a gangling midfielder. It doesn't take long before he grows into a physical, beast of a player.

Goal secures play-offs

Two years later, Jedinak rubber-stamped Palace's spot in the 2013 play-offs by scoring a dramatic last-minute goal against Peterborough to make it 3-2 (May 2013).

Led club to play-off final glory

Later that May, the Aussie skippered Palace to play-off final success against Watford at Wembley. His efforts over the promotion campaign also won him the 2013 Player of the Year award.

Goal claims safety

Now in the Premier League, Jedinak's penalty-winning goal at West Ham confirms Palace's top-flight safety (April 2014).

Creates World Cup history

He becomes Palace's first World Cup goal scorer after netting for Australia against Holland in June 2014.

The midfield enforer

THAT free-kick v Liverpool

Time to relive that dead ball goal in the memorable game against Liverpool... and then the animated celebration.

Another international record

That beard

The trademark facial fuzz made him really stand out on the pitch.

Final farewell

Jedinak shows his class by saying a personal goodbye to the fans in his swansong against West Brom.

Emotional message

And his heartfelt words to the supporters via social media caused some to well up. Really.

The final interview

Good luck Mile!
