Crystal Palace star James McArthur says his new-born baby has inspired his return to form.
The Scot admits his recent performances have not been up to scratch during Palace's three-match losing run.
That streak came to end on Saturday with a goalless draw at home with Manchester United in a game Palace deserved to win to cap a memorable week for McArthur.
"My wee man’s given me my energy back," he said. "I’ve not really been happy with my performances of late but the manager’s showed belief and he’s stuck with me.
"I thank him for that and hopefully I repaid him with my performance.
"I’m very critical of myself, when the team’s not winning I’m very harsh on myself especially.
"With the competition in the squad you need to keep trying to play as best as you can. If you’re not playing well there’s players that will step in."
