Crystal Palace chief Steve Parish has promised more major signings after landing Yohan Cabaye from PSG.
Palace surprised the football world by persuading the French international midfield star to move to Selhurst Park for a record shattering £10million.
Previous biggest signing James McArthur has this week been tied to a new deal, with star defender Scott Dann set to follow, and Parish says Cabaye won't be the last big name to join this summer.
QPR hotshot Charlie Austin and Chelsea forward Loic Remy, who played under Alan Pardew at Newcastle, are among the reported targets as the Eagles aim to beat last year's top-10 finish.
"We're working on three more," he told TalkSport. "I don't know if we'll get them all done but that's the aim. We're very committed to bolstering the squad and having a really good year.
"We want to back Alan, back the fans, back everybody who has helped get where we are. So it's very exciting times and hopeful we can sustain this and really build on it.
"We've finished higher every year since we bought the club, so it's getting tough. Of course we'd settle for 10th and we're not getting carried away. But you don't win matches in the transfer window, you win them on the pitch.
"Every club in the league will tell you they want to get to 40 points. But we have to be ambitious as well and our aim is definitely to get above that 10th position, no question."
He added: "Dann will definitely stay at Palace – he won't be going anywhere. There will be an announcement very soon on a new deal for Scott. We're very pleased he's agreed to stay. We need to hold the squad together as well as add to it."
