Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has been given a one-match ban for making an obscene gesture to Leeds fans.
Zaha was photographed sticking a finger up at the away supporters who were taunting him in the March 9 fixture at Selhurst Park.
Leeds are still fierce rivals with Zaha's new club Manchester United despite their relegation from the Premier League in 2004.
He apologised afterwards on Twitter, saying: "I...wanted to apologise for the gesture I did towards the Leeds fans in yesterday's game. Very unprofessional from me.''
But a Football Association disciplinary hearing has deemed he must sit out Palace's next game at home to Birmingham City on Friday March 29. Zaha has also been fined £3,000 by the FA.
Palace boss Ian Holloway was also charged for alleged misconduct towards the match officials in the same game after reacting badly to some of the refereeing decisions during the 2-2 draw.
