Crystal Palace have been boosted by the news that young guns Sean Scannell and Jon Williams have signed new contracts.

Scannell, 21, has thrived up front scoring three goals in eight games, while 17-year-old Williams - making his debut this season - has one goal and two assists from five appearances.
"I am really happy to have signed the contract with this club, it is the only place I want to be," said Scannell to the official website. "I am so pleased that the boss has offered me a new deal and it's good to see it's all done and I am able to speak about it being put to bed."
Williams added on the official site: "It is great for me to be signing, especially a deal of this length. I am over the moon really and I am looking forward to working with the boss and the rest of the staff to make me a better player.
"It has been great to be involved in the first team so early in my career and not only get the experience but work with the fellow players which can only help my game."
Williams' agent, Jamie Moralee, a former Palace striker said: "Jon is a fantastic talent and he has a great career ahead of him.
"He is thrilled to show his commitment to Crystal Palace and is looking forward to continuing his development under Dougie Freedman over the coming years."
