George Burley felt Crystal Palace were unlucky not to have put away one of their many chances in the stalemate against Hull.
"You could say maybe we were unfortunate," said Burley. "There were three or four point-blank blocks when the ball was going in. I was pleased with the way we played.
"You could say it's an opportunity missed but we were unfortunate. We had a lot of opportunities and we didn't manage to score.
"Apart from the first 20 minutes, I was very pleased. Once we changed our shape I thought we dominated. We passed it well and created opportunities."
Hull manager Nigel Pearson added: "I was disappointed that we couldn't replicate the first-half performance because we were the better side. We played some good football.
"Our movement and our shape caused them an awful lot of problems but we weren't able to sustain that and maybe a point was fair.
"I'm sure George would feel, with the second-half pressure that they had, that they were more likely to go and nick it.
"It remains frustrating for us to not be able to score enough goals to win games. But at least we got a clean sheet."
