Bromley's Hayes Lane
Crystal Palace played out a goalless draw with Bromley FC in their latest pre-season friendly.
George Burley continued with his search for new players by playing more trialists, but also included some familiar faces.
Ex Cardiff City defender Tony Capaldi started at left back, Ali Fuseini, previously on the books of Millwall and Macedonian Velice Sumulikoski both started in midfield.
Neil Danns almost gave Palace an early lead but his shot went wide of Wesley Foderingham goal.
Calvin Andrew and Andy Dorman were next players to test Foderingham but he was equal to their efforts.
Darren Ambrose, already with 4 goals in pre-season, was looking dangerous on the ball and came close to making it 5 with a first time shot which went narrowly wide.
It was Danns who had the next effort on goal after Capaldi crossed from the left, and the former Birmingham man connected with an overhead kick, but it didn't have sufficient power to beat the keeper.
Ambrose and Danns continued to cause Bromley problems but couldn't find the back of the net.
Burley made six changes at the break, including another trialist Yaser Kasim.
Bromley's Nic McDonnell had their first chance at goal in the 54th minute but his shot was fired straight at Lewis Price.
Alan Lee headed straight at Foderingham on 70 minutes and Wilfried Zaha caused Bromley problems including a header which was tipped onto the bar.
Bromley almost snatched it at the end with a quick counter attack but Leon McKenzie shot at Price from 6 yards out.
Palace: Price, Holness (Nnamani 46), Capaldi (Kasim 46), Davis, McCarthy (Barrett 46), Sumulikoski, Danns (Lee 46), Fuseini, Andrew (Cadogan 64), Ambrose (Djilali 46), Dorman (Zaha 46)
