James Scowcroft
James Scowcroft netted in Crystal Palace reserves' 3-1 success at Southampton.
Saints started the better of the two sides and had a number of opportunities to break the deadlock.
Olly Lancashire, Morgan Schneiderlin, Smith and Matt Paterson went close then Romain Gamsi fired a low shot against the post.
Nathaniel Pinney blasted a 40-yard drive that Saints keeper Forecast did well to hold at the second attempt.
And against the run of play, Scowcroft put Palace in front four minutes before half-time by heading Hakeen Adelakun's cross past Forecast from two yards.
Four minutes into the second half Kieron Cadogan made it 2-0 after he got on the end of Scott Flinders' long kick to score.
Allafane N'Diaye notched Palace's third goal with a low shot from the left wing into the far corner.
Jack Boyle then fed Gamsi who scored a late consolation for Southampton.
Palace: Flinders, Abnett, Adelakun, Comley (Holness 79), N'Diaye, Carolan, Cadogan, Smith (Goldsmith 71), Pinney (Parsons 79), Scowcroft, Dayton.
Not used: Roberts.
