Bromley's Hayes Lane

Crystal Palace reserves were thumped 5-0 at home to Reading.

A young Eagles team headed up by the more experienced Carl Fletcher and James Scowcroft plus back-from-his-loan Scott Flinders were given a pasting at Hayes Lane.

Marcus Hahnemann, Brynjar Gunnarsson, Andre Bikey, Noel Hunt, Shane Long, Marek Matjesovsky and Jay Tabb were notable Reading first team names.

All the goals came in the second half and the first arrived when Flinders punched a corner only as far as Matjesovsky, who neatly controlled and volleyed home.

Hunt then scored from the penalty spot after getting fouled in the area before Michail Antonio grabbed the third.

Irishman Hunt converted Tabb's cross with a fine header before Tabb completed the rout in the closing stages for the fifth goal.

Palace: Flinders, Comley, Adelakun, Carolan, Ertl, Nnamani, Abnett, Fletcher, Pinney, Scowcroft, Cadogan.

Subs: N'Diaye, Thorpe, Dos Santos, Holland, Roberts.
